Enugwu-Agidi Road Asphalting Project Progresses Under Community Leadership

 


The asphalting of a key road in Enugwu-Agidi is advancing steadily, bringing renewed hope to the community. The project is closely supervised by the President General (PG) of the Enugwu-Agidi Town Union, Hon. Chukwuebuka David Onuorah, alongside his deputy, ensuring that contractors adhere to agreed-upon standards for quality construction.


This initiative is a privately funded effort, driven by the contributions of prominent sons of Enugwu-Agidi, mobilized through the PG’s leadership. Despite speculations about state government involvement, community sources confirm that the project is entirely supported by local and diaspora benefactors dedicated to improving their hometown’s infrastructure.


The road asphalting is expected to enhance accessibility and boost local commerce, with residents expressing optimism about its impact. “This road will make movement easier and help our businesses grow,” said Mrs. Ngozi Eze, a local trader. The PG’s hands-on oversight has been praised for maintaining accountability and ensuring the project meets community expectations.


The 2.8 kilometers road project stretches from Ugwu-Ogwu to the Enugwu Agidi express road junction was flagged off on May 7th and is today already been asphalted. 


All thanks to the President general, Hon Chukwuebuka Onuorah under whose leadership this project is being executed.


As work continues, Enugwu-Agidi looks forward to the completion of this vital infrastructure, a clear testament to the power of community-driven development
