ASATU Prime Minister Donates One Million Naira To SSG

Dr. John Metchie has donated a whooping sum of N1 Million to Soludo Support Group (SSG) to support activities of the group.  Making the donation at the " YOU NEED TO KNOW" as well as unveiling of SSG new uniform held at the Professor Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre Awka at the weekend, Metchie who was the Chairman of the occasion underscored the importance of support groups and the pivotal roles they played in preaching the gospel of good governance in the hinterlands as clearly exemplified in the activities of Soludo Support Group (SSG).  Represented on the occasion by the ASATU national president Chief Barr. Anambra Culture represents Nigeria in Germany

  By Odogwu Emeka Odogwu Representatives of the Assembly of Anambra State Indigenes have thrilled the world stage at Munich, Germany during the 2024 Immigrants cultural festival recently. The cultural festival featured countries from Europe, Asia and Africa, even as Anambra state was the only State that represented Nigeria. It was a cultural festival organised by the immigrants office i.e the office that coordinates all the foreign countries in the Munich Municipal council. Speaking on the event to this reporter, the Chairman Emeritus of the Assembly of Anambra State Indigenes in Munich Municipal Council, Bavaria, Germany, Nze Ebuka Ifeacho, popularly known as Ozomma-Omemma Enugwu-Ukwu na Umunri, described culture as a unifying and entertaining factor among races.   - pays for community's health insurance  - to commence road construction  - to support local security agencies By O'star Eze It was a day of great fulfilment for Ekwulobia town in Aguata LGA, as the Distinguished Senator of Anambra South Senatorial Zone, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah, CON, generously donated 500 KVA transformer to the community replacing the moribund and faulty 300 kva transformer that had kept Ula, Okpo and other villages in the community in the dark for over a decade.  Handing over the brand new transformer to the community through Hon. NSCDC PARTNERS MINISTRY OF YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, ANAMBRA STATE TO REDIRECT YOUTHS ENERGY FOR POSITIVE PURSUITS

  The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has pledged to join forces with the Anambra State Ministry of Youth Development to steer youths away from  social vices . The partnership, announced on  Wednesday,July 10, aims to sensitize youths to shun violence, social vices, and criminal activities that can hinder their potential and harm their communities.  The State Commandant of NSCDC, Comdt. Maku Olatunde, and the Commissioner for Youth Development, Patrick Agha Mba, reaffirmed their commitment to the partnership during a meeting at the NSCDC State Command Headquarters in Awka. Comdt. Maku called on Nigerian youths to abstain from inordinate ambitions, restiveness and other vices, capable of militating against youth development and national security but rather channel their energy into socially beneficial engagements. By Peter McOliver Following years of the criminal abandonment of the Niger Delta, and years of struggles to give the people of the Niger Delta, their fair share of their God given resources, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC was established in 2000 with the mission to develop the Niger Delta region of Nigeria through the provision of social and economic infrastructure. However, over the years, the agency has been plagued with allegations mismanagement and corruption, with the most recent scandals unfolding under the leadership of Dr. Samuel Ogbuku. Ogbuku, who was appointed as the acting Managing Director of the NDDC in August 2023, has quickly became embroiled in numerous  controversies as reports have been surfacomg of widespread corruption within the agency.  Furthermore, the NDDC under Ogbuku's leadership has been characterized by a lack of transparency and accountability.
