Another Ekwulobian appreciates Senator Ubah for Transformer

 

... pledges support for Afamation/Ubah/APC

Another major stakeholder in Ekwulobia has profusely thanked Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, CON, for donating a 500 kva transformer to his community while declaring his unbridled support for the Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah and APC project in Anambra State. 


Speaking to the press recently in a phone interview, the Eziagulu, Ekwulobia-born health counsellor based in the United States of America stated that he stands with Senator  Ubah not just because he is a fellow member of Afamation Movement, but because he has seen him as the only one with the capacity to transform Anambra State into the first world status it deserves.


In his words, "I thank Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah, CON, for his kind gesture towards Ekwulobia in particular and Aguata in general, especially the recent donation of a 500 KVA transformer to my community which my village, Eziagulu, would benefit from.


"I stand firmly with the Ifeanyi Ubah project and the APC agenda for Anambra State which I know would be to the best interest of our people.


"I am a die-hard Afamation Movement member and I strongly believe in the founder/leader, Hon. Afam Ezenwafor, who has proven himself as a true selfless progressive who has the best interest of Ekwulobia and Ndigbo at heart."


Zikora Eze, who is also known as Ziko Walata, is a Mental Health Counselor with the Department of Mental Health, Massachusetts, USA.


It would be recalled that the Executive members of Ula Village in Ekwulobia where the said 500kva transformer is domiciled had written a letter of appreciation to Hon. Afam Ezenwafor and Senator Ifeanyi Ubah. 



The letter reads thus;

Executive of Ula community are here thanking the leader of Afamation movement  Hon Afamefuna Ezenwafor and his members  for their contribution for welfare of the people of Ula community and Ekwulobia in general. The 500 KVA transformer that was donated by Senator Ifeanyi Ubah to the community will add more value to many households within the community .


Kudos to Afamation Movement and  Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, CON. They have shown our constituency the dividend of democracy. Giving the people their constituency's allocation matters a lot.  


We are looking for more in the area of installing the transformer, infrastructure and security.

Anambra Police Arrest Man for Mother’s Murder, Foil Suicide Attempt in Ekwulobia

Ekwulobia, Anambra State – A 49-year-old man, Nnamdi Anyaji, was arrested by police in Ekwulobia on April 11, 2025, for the brutal murder of his 68-year-old mother, Mrs. Dorathy Anyaji. The incident, which occurred at their residence in Amudo Village, stemmed from a heated dispute over profits from a cassava business, with Nnamdi accusing his mother of dishonesty. Police recovered an axe at the scene, believed to be the murder weapon. According to the Anambra State Police Command, operatives from the Ekwulobia Divisional Police Station responded to the scene at approximately 1:40 p.m. after Nnamdi attempted to take his own life following the killing. Nimo General Hospital Board Inaugurated as Catholic Diocese of Awka Resumes Management

Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor, inaugurated the new board of Nimo General Hospital in Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State, marking a pivotal step in revitalizing the healthcare facility. The ceremony, held at the hospital premises, included the handover of N35,730,817 to the board, representing the balance of a prior government donation plus accrued interest. Bishop Ezeokafor reaffirmed the diocese’s commitment to restoring the hospital’s functionality for the benefit of the Nimo community.
