APGA FAITHFUL IN AGUATA AND NNEWI SOUTH WELCOME CHIEF EBUKA ONUNKWO

Chief Ebuka Onunkwo, in continuation of his Christmas visit to APGA ward executives and stakeholders in the 7 local government areas in Anambra South Senatorial District, yesterday stormed Aguata and Nnewi South local government areas. 


The strong delegation led by the CEO of Sea Horse Lubricants Industries Ltd went bearing various Christmas presents as well as the message of hope and open door representation if elected as the next senator representing the Senatorial District.


It will be recalled that Chief Onunkwo has consistently splashed Christmas largesse on APGA Faithful in Ekwusigo Local Government for several years. 


Speaking during the events, Chief Ebuka Onunkwo informed the gathering of party faithful and stakeholders that he is in their local government areas to extend a tradition that he has consistently carried out in his own local government area to them and also forge a relationship of trust that will become the hallmark of his representation if elected the next senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). 


"I have come to familiarise myself with you and to enter into a social contract that will serve as a template for mutual collaboration, intentional service delivery and development of your various communities and local government areas."

The highlight of the visit to Nnewi South local government was the donation of one million Naira by Chief Onunkwo to a physically challenged child who came to the venue of the event with his mother who is an executive of the party.


While expressing joy at the Christmas largesse from Chief Onunkwo, the various responders took turns to eulogise the CEO of Seahorse Lubricants Industries Ltd who they described as a grassroot politician with a huge flow of human kindness and a beacon of hope for the people.


On hand, to receive Chief Onunkwo and his powerful delegation were the executive chairmen of the two local government areas alongside APGA local government and ward executives as well as party faithfuls and stakeholders.

Anambra Police Arrest Man for Mother’s Murder, Foil Suicide Attempt in Ekwulobia

Ekwulobia, Anambra State – A 49-year-old man, Nnamdi Anyaji, was arrested by police in Ekwulobia on April 11, 2025, for the brutal murder of his 68-year-old mother, Mrs. Dorathy Anyaji. The incident, which occurred at their residence in Amudo Village, stemmed from a heated dispute over profits from a cassava business, with Nnamdi accusing his mother of dishonesty. Police recovered an axe at the scene, believed to be the murder weapon. According to the Anambra State Police Command, operatives from the Ekwulobia Divisional Police Station responded to the scene at approximately 1:40 p.m. after Nnamdi attempted to take his own life following the killing. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor, inaugurated the new board of Nimo General Hospital in Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State, marking a pivotal step in revitalizing the healthcare facility. The ceremony, held at the hospital premises, included the handover of N35,730,817 to the board, representing the balance of a prior government donation plus accrued interest. Bishop Ezeokafor reaffirmed the diocese’s commitment to restoring the hospital’s functionality for the benefit of the Nimo community.
