*ANAMBRA SOUTH: SOLUDO VOLUNTEER FORCE THROWS WEIGHT BEHIND EBUKA ONUNKWO'S SENATE BID*
- Cites His Selfless Service To Humanity And Other Laudable Track Records As Basis For Endorsement
The Soludo Volunteer Force (SVF), a frontline pressure group led by The Managing Director of Anambra State Waste Management Agency (ASWAMA), Hon. Engr. Ozoemena Mike (Nzeakonobi) today paid a solidarity visit to the palatial residence of Chief Ebuka Onunkwo, where the group officially endorsed him for the vacant seat of Anambra South Senatorial District.
Speaking during the visit, the deputy convener of the group who led the delegation, Dr. Ebele Chukwuka praised Onunkwo's selfless service to humanity, stating that he is not just another politician but a leader who has been working for the masses long before joining politics.
Dr. Chukwuka emphasized that the SVF does not endorse candidates lightly but rather after careful consideration and evaluation and has found Chief Onunkwo worthy.
This endorsement by the SVF, a prominent group supporting Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo's administration, is a significant boost to Onunkwo's senatorial aspirations.
In his own contribution, the Secretary of the SVF, Hon. Solomon Chinyereugo stated that APGA as a progressive party would stand firm with credible leaders. He described Chief Onunkwo as a leader with the needed capacity to win the election for the party. 'Endorsing you today is just the beginning. SVF will follow you through this journey, deliver victory, and stand with you on the day of your inauguration', he declared.
The woman leader of the frontline pressure group, Mrs Bekee Udeogaranya, in her remarks, applauded Chief Onunkwo's sterling record of human capacity development including the payment of school fees for over 3000 students at Ihembosi community secondary school for several years and emphatically stated that Chief Onunkwo is, in her opinion, the best choice for APGA in the upcoming senatorial race.
According to the woman leader, 'I have attended meetings with other aspirants, but none came close to what Ebuka Onunkwo stands for. We are not here to play politics; we are here to endorse the right candidate and congratulate him in advance." She declared.
Speakers during the event took turns to highlight Chief Onunkwo's impressive track record of philanthropy and community development, including his numerous scholarships and investments in infrastructure development. These efforts have endeared him to the people, who see him as a true leader and champion of the masses.
In his response, Onunkwo expressed gratitude to the SVF leadership for their endorsement and assured them that he would not disappoint the people of Anambra South when elected. He emphasized that his focus is on impact and service to his people rather than personal gain. Onunkwo's sincerity and commitment to the welfare of his constituents were evident throughout his speech.
The SVF leadership present at the event reiterated their commitment to supporting Onunkwo's candidacy. They pledged to mobilize their members and resources to ensure his victory at the polls. This endorsement is a significant milestone in Onunkwo's senatorial campaign, demonstrating the growing momentum behind his aspirations.
Among the dignitaries present were Dr. Ebele Chukwuka (SVF Deputy Convener), Prince Obidinma Chibueze (SSA to the Governor), Mr. Nweke Okechukwu (SVF Welfare Officer), Hon. Solomon Chinyereugo (SVF National Secretary), Mr. Nnakume Emenike (SVF Coordinator, Orumba South), Mrs. Bekee Udeogaranya (SVF National Woman Leader), Hon.
