Idemili South Council Mayor, Hon. Amaka Obi Felicitates Hon. Ikeobi Ejiofor On Birthday

 


The Idemili South local government Mayor, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi (Iyom Ife-Abata), has felicitated with former Caretaker Chairman of Anaocha and Managing Director of Anambra State Water Resources, Hon. Chief Ikeobi Ejiofor on the auspicious celebration of his birthday anniversary.


Hon. Obi in a congratulatory message made available to her media team praised Hon. Ejiofor for being the brain behind some Impactful initiative especially in relation to water scheme.


She said, Hon. Ejiofor is worth celebrating for his life of consistent commitment to private and public service, having contributed positively to politics and development of the state.


"I join APGA family, friends and well-wishers to celebrate Hon. Ikeobi Ejiofor and I wish him more prosperous years in good health as he continues to serve the state and humanity in general", she concluded.

Anambra Police Arrest Man for Mother’s Murder, Foil Suicide Attempt in Ekwulobia

Ekwulobia, Anambra State – A 49-year-old man, Nnamdi Anyaji, was arrested by police in Ekwulobia on April 11, 2025, for the brutal murder of his 68-year-old mother, Mrs. Dorathy Anyaji. The incident, which occurred at their residence in Amudo Village, stemmed from a heated dispute over profits from a cassava business, with Nnamdi accusing his mother of dishonesty. Police recovered an axe at the scene, believed to be the murder weapon. According to the Anambra State Police Command, operatives from the Ekwulobia Divisional Police Station responded to the scene at approximately 1:40 p.m. after Nnamdi attempted to take his own life following the killing. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor, inaugurated the new board of Nimo General Hospital in Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State, marking a pivotal step in revitalizing the healthcare facility. The ceremony, held at the hospital premises, included the handover of N35,730,817 to the board, representing the balance of a prior government donation plus accrued interest. Bishop Ezeokafor reaffirmed the diocese’s commitment to restoring the hospital’s functionality for the benefit of the Nimo community.
