Enugwu Agidi PG receives grand welcome in Dei Dei Market

 


Enugwu Agidi community in Abuja's Dei dei market yesterday, February 17, 2025, threw a grand welcome for their President General, Hon Ebuka Onuorah (Ijele Umunri). The visit was a testament to Hon Onuorah's commitment to engaging with his people and understanding their needs.


 Hon Onuorah was first received by Chief Ben Nwankwo, CEO of BENNOB Enterprises Ltd, before proceeding to the market, where he was greeted by a large gathering of Enugwu Agidi indigenes, led by their Market Chairman. The visit provided an opportunity for the community to ask questions and receive explanations on various issues affecting Enugwu Agidi.


The community expressed their satisfaction with Hon Onuorah's leadership, particularly in providing adequate security during the Christmas and New Year holiday, a feat described as "first of its kind" ¹. Chief Tony Austin, Chairman of all chairmen, praised Hon Onuorah's efforts in maintaining peace and security in the community.


A motion of confidence in Hon Onuorah's leadership was moved by Elder Chibuzo Ekesi, former acting President General, and was unanimously supported by the community. Elder Ekesi shared his experiences as a former leader and encouraged Hon Onuorah to remain focused and steadfast in his pursuit of peace and development for Enugwu Agidi.


Hon Onuorah thanked the community for their warm reception and promised to continue working towards making Enugwu Agidi the best community in Anambra State. He urged all stakeholders to join hands in achieving this vision. The visit was a clear demonstration of Hon Onuorah's commitment to his people and his dedication to leading Enugwu Agidi towards a brighter future.

Anambra Police Arrest Man for Mother’s Murder, Foil Suicide Attempt in Ekwulobia

Ekwulobia, Anambra State – A 49-year-old man, Nnamdi Anyaji, was arrested by police in Ekwulobia on April 11, 2025, for the brutal murder of his 68-year-old mother, Mrs. Dorathy Anyaji. The incident, which occurred at their residence in Amudo Village, stemmed from a heated dispute over profits from a cassava business, with Nnamdi accusing his mother of dishonesty. Police recovered an axe at the scene, believed to be the murder weapon. The ceremony, held at the hospital premises, included the handover of N35,730,817 to the board, representing the balance of a prior government donation plus accrued interest.
