Hon. Azubuike Okoye Urges Unity Behind Soludo’s Second Term Bid

Hon. Azubuike Okoye (Odenigbo Anaocha), Commissioner 1 of the Anambra State Local Government Service Commission and newly appointed National Coordinator of Solution Vanguard, has called on political parties in Anambra State to abandon their ambitions and rally behind Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s bid for a second term. Speaking at the recent inauguration of Solution Vanguard, a grassroots support group, Okoye described Soludo as an “exceptional man” delivering an “exceptional job” for the people of Anambra "touching all sectors of the Anambra society simultaneously."


Okoye, a seasoned political figure with a history of leadership roles—including President General of Agulu, a former member of the House of Assembly representing Aniocha 1, and state youth coordinator during Soludo’s initial campaign—highlighted the governor’s transformative impact. “As far as I am concerned, and I speak the mind of virtually every well-meaning Anambra resident, there is no other person contesting for governor in the forthcoming election save for our able governor,” he declared.


The National Coordinator emphasized that Solution Vanguard, birthed in collaboration with the Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, Barrister Vin Ifeanyichukwu Ezeaka, comprises volunteers from the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE). These workers, Okoye noted, are inspired by Soludo’s “sterling performance” and are committed to enlightening grassroots voters about the governor’s re-election agenda. “He deserves to go another four years and from there, move on to Abuja for either Vice Presidency or President,” 

Okoye added, envisioning a national role for Soludo post-tenure.


Okoye’s political journey, from mobilizing youths across Anambra’s 21 local governments to his current role, underscores his confidence in the group’s ability to secure Soludo’s victory. “My advice to every other political party is that they should shelve their ambitions and support the second term bid of Professor Soludo,” he urged, framing the governor’s leadership as a unifying force for all, regardless of political affiliation.

The event, marked by the unveiling of car stickers and the inauguration of state executives, signals a robust campaign to ensure Soludo’s re-election with a strong margin.

Anambra Police Arrest Man for Mother’s Murder, Foil Suicide Attempt in Ekwulobia

Ekwulobia, Anambra State – A 49-year-old man, Nnamdi Anyaji, was arrested by police in Ekwulobia on April 11, 2025, for the brutal murder of his 68-year-old mother, Mrs. Dorathy Anyaji.
