In a showcase of industrial prowess and commitment to socio-economic growth of the southeast region in line with the spirit of Aku Luo Uno, Seahorse Lubricant Industries Limited, founded by renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist, Chief Ebuka Onunkwo, yesterday hosted a tour of its facilities for APGA ward executives, House of Assembly members, and state government appointees from Anambra South Senatorial District.


The tour, which provided a firsthand glimpse into the company's operations, highlighted Seahorse Lubricant Industries' position as a leading manufacturer of high-quality lubricating oils for internal combustion engines, and mechanical systems. The company's excellence has been recognized through several awards, including the prestigious Best Synthetic Motor Engine Oil Brand of the Year 2022.


Chief Onunkwo, a respected figure in Anambra State's industrial and philanthropic circles, welcomed the dignitaries and expressed his commitment to contributing to the state's socio-economic development. The tour underscored the significant role Seahorse Lubricant Industries plays in the local economy through job creation, innovation, and quality products.

Anambra Police Arrest Man for Mother’s Murder, Foil Suicide Attempt in Ekwulobia

Ekwulobia, Anambra State – A 49-year-old man, Nnamdi Anyaji, was arrested by police in Ekwulobia on April 11, 2025, for the brutal murder of his 68-year-old mother, Mrs. Dorathy Anyaji. The incident, which occurred at their residence in Amudo Village, stemmed from a heated dispute over profits from a cassava business, with Nnamdi accusing his mother of dishonesty. Police recovered an axe at the scene, believed to be the murder weapon. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor, inaugurated the new board of Nimo General Hospital in Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State, marking a pivotal step in revitalizing the healthcare facility. The ceremony, held at the hospital premises, included the handover of N35,730,817 to the board, representing the balance of a prior government donation plus accrued interest.
