A central claim in the kidnapping saga of Benjamin Izuchukwu Ezeama, alias Big Ben, has asserted that he was abducted directly from Ozo Jeff Nweke’s office. However, emerging evidence challenges this narrative, casting doubt on the accusations leveled against Nweke. Sources close to the investigation reveal that Ezeama met with Nweke on the day of the incident for a discussion, the purpose of which remains undisclosed but was unrelated to any financial disputes or loans.

Following their meeting, Ezeama left Nweke’s office and returned to Maxbe Hotel, where he was staying. It was later that day, at the hotel, that the kidnapping took place, according to witness accounts and preliminary reports. This timeline directly contradicts earlier publications alleging the abduction occurred at Nweke’s premises, calling their accuracy into question.

The discrepancy carries significant weight for Nweke’s alleged involvement. If Ezeama was taken from the hotel rather than Nweke’s office, it shifts suspicion away from Nweke. “The facts don’t support the story being circulated,” said a local business owner familiar with both individuals. “Ezeama left the meeting unharmed—how could Nweke be behind it?”

Nweke’s legal team has emphasized this point, arguing that the misleading narrative is part of a calculated attempt to damage his reputation. They highlight that Ezeama and Nweke, acquaintances since 2019, shared a cordial business relationship, further undermining the notion of an office-based abduction.
