In a vibrant and symbolic display of grassroots support, over 500 Master of Ceremonies (MCs) and comedians from all 21 local government areas of Anambra State gathered at the Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre to endorse Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, for a second term in office.

The landmark event, organized by the Anambra State Chapter of the Talk Service Providers of Nigeria (TSPN), is being described as one of the largest mobilizations of the entertainment and event-hosting industry in recent political memory within the state.

In his welcome address, the TSPN State Convener, Mr. Shedrack Nnanna, who also serves as the Special Assistant to Governor Soludo on Events, commended the governor for his inclusive governance and strategic support for the creative and events industry.

"The entertainment and event-hosting industry in Anambra has witnessed remarkable recognition and growth under this administration," Nnanna said. “We are proud to stand behind a leader who engages with grassroots professionals and empowers young people.”

The Chairman of the Occasion, High Chief Dr. Christopher Ndubuisi (Ikenga Umuawulu), represented by Hon. Leo Nwuba, applauded Soludo’s achievements and charged TSPN members to remain ambassadors of the administration’s values and vision.

Delivering the keynote lecture on the summit’s theme, "Event Anchoring in a Developing Economy," Professor Chike Okoye, former Head of the English Department at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, emphasized professional best practices while lauding Governor Soludo’s investments in youth empowerment, infrastructure, and security.

Representing Governor Soludo, the Deputy Governor Dr. Onyekachi Ibezim expressed profound appreciation for the endorsement. He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to transparency, performance, and people-focused governance.

“We are humbled by this endorsement and see it not just as support, but as a charge to keep doing more,” said Dr. Ibezim. “We call on entertainers and MCs to become vocal ambassadors of the Solution Government as we gear toward the 2025 elections.”

In his closing remarks, the Chairman of the 2025 TSPN Committee, Hon. Mmaduabuchi Onwumelu also commended Governor Soludo’s proactive governance style and highlighted the critical role of entertainers in civic education and community development.

Special musical performances and comedy sketches from some of Anambra’s leading acts climaxed the event.
