ANAMBRA 2025: MOGHALU BEGINS JOURNEY WITH CALL FOR UNITY, VOWS TO DELIVER GOOD GOVERNANCE

Chief Dr. George Moghalu, Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate for the November 8 election in Anambra State, has launched his consultation tour with a strong message of hope, unity, and a promise to usher in a new era of purposeful leadership.

Moghalu, who began his consultations at the Umueri home of Chief Josephat Onyeachonam Onwualor in Anambra East Local Government Area, emphasized that winning Anambra is not just crucial for the state's future, but also critical for Labour Party's broader national ambitions, including the 2027 presidential race.

"My journey today starts here because of the respect I have for you and your influence. I am here to tell you officially that I have received the ticket of our great party and I am ready for the challenge ahead," Moghalu told his host.

Acknowledging the difficulties involved in unseating an incumbent, Moghalu expressed confidence that with collective determination and strategic planning, Labour Party would triumph. "Removing an incumbent is never easy. But with strong leaders like you rallying support, it is very possible," he affirmed.

He painted a vision of an Anambra where every citizen’s aspiration can flourish, noting, "In every square meter of this state, you find talent, enterprise, and resources. What our people need is simply a government that creates the right environment for success — and that is the mission I am bringing."

Chief Onwualor, in his remarks, assured Moghalu of his unwavering support, pledging to mobilize across Anambra East and beyond. He also issued a clarion call to Moghalu to resolve internal disputes within the party swiftly, warning that a divided Labour Party could compromise their chances.

Onwualor further stressed the importance of securing the electoral process, urging Moghalu to prioritize measures that would protect votes from being hijacked or manipulated.

Drawing from his rich political and administrative experience, Moghalu assured all present that he possessed the depth, knowledge, and readiness to run a government that truly serves the people.

Other leaders at the event echoed support for Moghalu, praising his competence and pledging the backing of Anambra East and the wider Omambala region to ensure victory at the polls.

With his campaign now officially in motion, Moghalu stands poised to lead a movement that seeks to redefine governance in Anambra, signaling that a new dawn is not only possible — but within reach.
