Ebuka Onunkwo Graces Traditional Marriage of Kenechukwu and Ugochukwu



Chief Ebuka Onunkwo, Chairman and CEO of Seahorse Lubricant Industries Ltd., was a distinguished guest at the traditional marriage ceremony of Ugochukwu Okonkwo and Kenechukwu Obiejesi, held yesterday at the Obijackson Event Centre in Okija, Ihiala LGA, Anambra State.


The union brought together Ugochukwu, son of Chief Emma Bishop Okonkwo, and Kenechukwu, daughter of oil magnate Chief Ernest Azudialu Obiejesi, known as Obijackson, in a vibrant celebration of Igbo tradition and familial alliance.


Hosted at the Obiejesi-owned venue, the event attracted prominent dignitaries, politicians, and guests from Nigeria and beyond, reflecting the societal standing of both families. Chief Onunkwo’s arrival drew significant attention, with his presence adding prominence to the occasion. During the ceremony, he offered heartfelt prayers for God’s blessings on the newlyweds, wishing them a prosperous and harmonious union.


The proceedings featured core Igbo customs, including the breaking of kola nuts and gift exchanges, overseen by community elders. Traditional music and dance enlivened the atmosphere, complemented by a selection of local and continental cuisine. The couple, adorned in elegant traditional attire, embodied the union’s significance as a blend of love and legacy.


Chief Onunkwo, accompanied by the Mayor of Ekwusigo LGA, Hon. Chimezie Obi, the APGA Chairman of Ekwusigo, Hon. Edwin Emeka Ukora and several others, extended his heartfelt felicitations to the parents of the couple.


Chief Onunkwo’s popularity and grassroots connection were on full display, as his presence lit up the atmosphere with chants of “Odozi Obodo” reverberating throughout the event centre.
