MOGHALU FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE SUPPORT GROUP PLEDGES FULL SUPPORT FOR LABOUR




In a resounding show of solidarity, the Chief Dr. George Moghalu for Good Governance Support Group — made up of traditional practitioners, persons living with disabilities, youth leaders, and community representatives from across Anambra State — has formally pledged their total support for Chief Dr. George Moghalu’s candidacy under the Labour Party ahead of the November 2025 gubernatorial elections.


During a courtesy visit to Chief Dr. Moghalu at his Uruagu Nnewi residence this evening, the Coordinator of the group, Mrs. Eucharia, reaffirmed their collective belief that only Chief Moghalu possesses the vision, character, and leadership capacity to usher in an era of genuine good governance, inclusiveness, and prosperity for Anambra State.


“We are here today because we have searched, and we have found in Chief Dr. George Moghalu a leader with the integrity, experience, and compassion that Anambra needs at this critical time. We urge him to remain steadfast in this race, for the hopes of many are tied to his victory. We pray for his success come November 2025," Mrs. Eucharia declared.


Responding, Chief Dr. Moghalu expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming show of confidence and solidarity.

"I am overwhelmed by your belief in me. Your support strengthens my resolve to serve our dear state selflessly. Throughout my life, honesty and character have been my guiding principles. I answer every call and reply to every message — not because I seek election, but because I value people. This has always been who I am," he stated.


Chief Moghalu further assured the group and the entire people of Anambra that under his leadership, every citizen — regardless of background or ability — would have a voice and a meaningful stake in governance.


Also speaking at the gathering, Hon. Oluchi Nwaigwe, a respected political mobilizer, attested to Chief Moghalu’s unmatched credibility and unwavering commitment to service. She pledged to lead a comprehensive grassroots mobilization effort across every nook and cranny of Anambra to ensure his resounding victory.


“Our state deserves a governor who listens, who acts with integrity, and who sees every citizen as important. Chief Dr. George Moghalu is that leader. We will not rest until we bring him to Government House Awka,” Hon. Nwaigwe affirmed.

Anambra Police Arrest Man for Mother’s Murder, Foil Suicide Attempt in Ekwulobia

Ekwulobia, Anambra State – A 49-year-old man, Nnamdi Anyaji, was arrested by police in Ekwulobia on April 11, 2025, for the brutal murder of his 68-year-old mother, Mrs. Dorathy Anyaji.
