Oyi Local Government Set to Witness Mega Transformation: Rapid Infrastructural Drive Across Communities

The 5 communities in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State are poised for a significant transformation through a comprehensive wave of infrastructural development projects, spearheaded by the Oyi Council Mayor, Hon. Dr. Emma Nweke.


This initiative was unveiled during a special Easter meeting held at the Mayor's residence in Awkuzu, attended by key appointees and stakeholders of the local government.


In his address, Dr. Nweke reiterated his administration's dedication to enhancing the living standards of the residents. He stated, “Our people deserve better roads, better health facilities, and access to quality services. 


This administration will leave no community behind.” His commitment underscores the focus on creating a more accessible and improved living environment for all citizens within the local government.


The gathering also served as a platform for the Chief of Staff to the Mayor, Apostle Chijioke Ozoemena, who stressed the critical role of teamwork and community involvement in sustainable development. He urged community leaders to remain engaged and supportive of the administration's vision for a revitalized Oyi.


The meeting also had the presence of the distinguished member representing Oyi Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Sir Innocent Ojike (OJICAM), who praised the Mayor, Dr. Nweke's proactive leadership and emphasized on collaboration and community-focused initiatives aimed at ensuring sustained growth and development across the various communities.


He expressed his commitment to legislative support for any initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for constituents, reinforcing the collaborative approach needed for the planned projects.


Stakeholders support was also evident, together with major senior aides to the Mayor who attended the retreat and pledged their dedication to realizing the infrastructural blueprint for Oyi Local Government Area.
