Anambra Police Commissioner Bolsters Community Ties Through Media Engagement in Onitsha

In a bid to strengthen police-public relations and foster trust, the Anambra State Police Commissioner, CP Ikioye Orutugu, visited Udala Radio Station 104.7 FM in Onitsha on July 18, 2025. The visit, part of a broader strategy to engage media platforms across the state, featured a live radio session where CP Orutugu addressed pressing security issues and outlined the Command’s efforts to maintain peace and order.


During the interactive program, the Commissioner highlighted the critical role of community participation in effective policing, urging residents to share timely information and report suspicious activities. Emphasizing transparency, professionalism, and accountability, CP Orutugu called for sustained collaboration between the police and the public to ensure a safer Anambra.


The Anambra State Police Command expressed gratitude to the media for amplifying security awareness and encouraged all stakeholders to remain active partners in safeguarding the state.
