DR STANLEY UZOCHUKWU CELEBRATED NATIONWIDE AS A TRUE AFRICAN LIGHT AND HUMANITARIAN ICON
LAGOS, Nigeria — July 29, 2025
Prominent Nigerian entrepreneur and philanthropist, Dr. Stanley Uzochukwu, has been honoured with glowing tributes across the country and beyond, as admirers celebrate his extraordinary impact on business, leadership and humanitarian service.
The founder and CEO of Stanel Group and The Delborough Lagos, a luxury hospitality brand, Dr. Uzochukwu has built a reputation as one of Nigeria’s most inspiring figures, blending wealth creation with spiritual humility and social impact.
One of the most moving tributes came from Dr. Ifeanyi Aniagoh, popularly known as #DigiPriest, who described the Anambra-born businessman as “a builder of men, a light in this generation, and a symbol of what Nigeria can be.”
According to Aniagoh, “Meeting Dr. Stanley as an aide to Governor Willie Obiano remains one of my greatest gains. Having him as my mentor elevated my being. He sponsored our annual Digipreneur Week in Anambra and remains a pillar in mentoring young leaders across Africa.”
Among Dr. Uzochukwu’s many philanthropic gestures is his unique decision to build orphanage homes in all 36 states of Nigeria, an unprecedented move, aimed at transforming neglected facilities into centres of hope and human dignity.
On his birthdays, Stanel Group branches nationwide halt operations for large-scale outreach events, serving thousands of widows, orphans and people with disabilities. In Awka alone, over 10,000 people have benefitted from such initiatives, receiving food, educational kits, healthcare, cash and even cars.
Through his Access More With Stanel programme, over ₦200 million in grants has been disbursed to support more than 100 SMEs across Nigeria, nurturing a new generation of entrepreneurs.
Remarkably, Dr. Stanley once declined the opportunity to contest for the governorship of Anambra State, opting instead to build a private empire that creates jobs, empowers citizens and meets everyday needs.
He is also noted for his spiritual devotion, often leading praise and worship sessions, despite his global business acclaim and deep connections, including being one of the few Nigerians invited to Donald Trump's U.S. presidential inauguration.
Dr. Uzochukwu currently sits as the youngest board member of the prestigious Igbinedion Hospital and University, adding to a growing list of national and international recognitions.
As tributes continue to pour in, it is clear that Dr. Stanley Uzochukwu stands not only as a business mogul, but also as a beacon of selfless leadership, moral courage and national pride.
