Soludo's Press Secretary, Aburime Honored As “Outstanding Media Personality Of The Year”

Governor Chukwuma Soludo's Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, has been honoured with "Outstanding Media Personality of the Year" award by the National Association of Mass Communication Students, NAMACOS, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Igbariam Campus.


The event held in Awka brought together esteemed guests, students and faculty members; all eager to celebrate excellence in media and communication.


Mr. Aburime was recognized for his significant contributions to effective communication, as well as his visible strides and commitment towards improving government communication and media relations in Anambra State and beyond.


In his acceptance speech, Mr. Aburime expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the honor and dedicated the award to Governor Soludo, his team and all media practitioners who work tirelessly to inform the public. 

"This recognition is a collective effort; it reflects the hard work of a dedicated team striving to communicate effectively with the people of Anambra State," he said. "I am grateful for the opportunity to serve under Governor Soludo, whose vision for a prosperous and smart megacity has inspired us all."


Earlier in her remark, the Head of the Department of Mass Communication, COOU, Dr. Nonye Ezeaka, noted that the event was a reflection of a community committed to excellence, collaboration and continuous growth.


The ceremony concluded with social events, networking session; where students had the chance to interact and gain insights into the ever-evolving journalism and communication landscapes.


Awards of recognition were equally presented to the Anambra State Commissioner for Power and Public Utilities, Engr. Julius Chukwuemeka, and his Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs counterpart, Mr. Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne.


NAMACOS Dinner and Award Night is a yearly event aimed at celebrating excellence, inspiring students and recognizing individuals whose contributions have impacted positively on the development of the society, particularly in Anambra State.

In a decisive operation against human trafficking and medical malpractice, the Anambra State Government has dismantled a notorious baby factory syndicate masquerading as a hospital in Umunya, Oyi Local Government Area. Anambra Police Commissioner Warns Social Media Influencer VeryDarkMan Against Inciting Unrest

The directive was given by the Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc MNIPS PhD, in response to concerns over potential unrest.
