APGA brought stability to Anambra State - Dike
...as Ekwusigo Rallies for Party's Victory in Upcoming Polls
A wave of support for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) swept through Ekwusigo Local Government Area as party faithful gathered for an affirmation rally ahead of the August 16 and November 8, 2025, elections.
Sir Vin Dike, a respected technocrat and Chairman of the Anambra State Town Union Council (ASTUC), delivered a compelling case for APGA’s uninterrupted governance.
Speaking at the rally, Dike recounted the state’s troubled past before APGA’s rise to power. “Anambra was a cesspool of illegality, with governors kidnapped, teachers unpaid, and infrastructure in disarray,” he said. “It was under APGA, starting with Peter Obi till date under Professor Soludo, that the state found stability and embarked on a path of resuscitation and rapid development.”
Dike urged the people of Ekwusigo to deliver resounding victories for APGA at the upcoming polls, emphasizing the party’s proven track record.
His call was echoed by prominent figures, including Deputy Governor Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, who represented Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo at the event.
Dr. Ibezim commended the massive turnout and addressed the senatorial candidacy for Anambra South, highlighting Chief Emma Nwachukwu as a key aspirant known for his education and capability to represent the zone effectively in the Senate.
“If you support the transformative revolution of the Soludo Administration in Ekwusigo and across Anambra, back APGA’s choice to complement the governor’s efforts in the Red Chambers,” he urged.
The rally also featured remarks from key APGA leaders, including National Chairman Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa and other party officials, the Anambra State House of Assembly Majority leader, Chief Ikenna Ofodeme, the Commissioner of Housing, among others.
A highlight of the event was the address by Chief Dr. Ebuka Onunkwo, the Ekwusigo LGA campaign Director-General for APGA and a leading aspirant for the Anambra South senatorial seat. Onunkwo, known for his resolve to redefine Nigerian politics, pledged substantial financial support to secure APGA’s victory in the LGA.
The event drew notable dignitaries, including Igwe Ifeanyi Okonkwo, the Traditional Ruler of Ichi, and HRM Fidelis Uchechukwu Okafor, the Ife of Ozubulu and a prominent member of the Anambra State Council of Traditional Rulers.
