In a strategic move to consolidate grassroots support ahead of the November 8, 2025, gubernatorial election in Anambra State, the Anambra Patriots for Soludo (APS) has inaugurated its ward executives in Ihiala Local Government Area.
The inauguration ceremony, which held at Ihiala Local Government Council Hall, on August 6, 2025, drew a mammoth crowd of supporters and party faithfuls who insist that Governor Soludo is doing well and deserves second tenure.
Speaking to newsmen at the event, the State Chairman of APS, Chief Ejiamatu Damian Enekwechi, represented by the Public Relations Officer, Dr. Freeman Obumneke, said the purpose of the inauguration was to mobilize, educate, and protect votes to ensure Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo's return for a second term.
Chief Ejiamatu said that against the backdrop of the political motivated insecurity, sponsored by the enemies of the state who want to reap where they did not sow, Soludo's administration has successfully tamed the then daunting security challenges, which would have give opposition a leverage, hence the successful inauguration of the APS in the local council.
He charged the newly inaugurated executives to carry themselves as true ambassadors of Governor Soludo by promoting his achievements and staying resolute in their loyalty. "You are now inducted into the APS family. This oath you have taken today is a vow to work for the future of your children. Do not allow anyone to buy your conscience with money, because such gratification is temporary," he warned.
Dr. Freeman further emphasized that re-electing Governor Soludo is a vote for continuity and consolidation of the developmental strides recorded over the last three years.
Also speaking, the APS Coordinator in Ihiala LGA, Mr. Herbert Nwabuoso, said the turnout for the inauguration was a testament to the growing support for Governor Soludo in Ihiala. He expressed confidence that the local government would deliver overwhelming block votes for the governor come November 8. According to him, "Soludo is winning. He is taking over Anambra State again. The excitement here today cuts across all the 20 wards in Ihiala. Our people are ready and jubilant."
In her remarks, the Ihiala Women Coordinator of APS, Mrs. Theresa Okiyka, expressed happiness at the momentum building in support of Governor Soludo. She assured that women in the area would rally votes for the re-election of the working Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of branded APS materials, including aprons and crested items, to the newly inaugurated members.
