Anambra Guber: Afamation Movement Backs Soludo's Second Term Bid

The Afamation Movement, a prominent socio-political group in Anambra South, has officially endorsed Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for a second term in the upcoming governorship election scheduled for November 8, 2025. 


The endorsement was announced following a stakeholders’ meeting held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area.


During the meeting, the group passed a motion supporting Governor Soludo’s re-election bid, citing his transformative achievements as the rationale for their decision. 


Hon. Afamefuna Ezenwafor, the leader of the Afamation Movement, highlighted Soludo’s exceptional leadership and tangible impact across multiple sectors as key reasons for the endorsement.


“Governor Soludo’s administration has demonstrated remarkable leadership in infrastructural development, education, healthcare, cost-effective governance, youth inclusivity, and empowerment,” Ezenwafor stated while speaking to the press. 


“His strategic policies and commitment to sustainable development have reshaped Anambra’s socio-economic landscape. Supporting his second term is about sustaining the progress and prosperity he has brought to the state.”


Comrade Uche Azike, the group’s coordinator, echoed Ezenwafor’s sentiments, emphasizing the widespread impact of Soludo’s projects. 


“There is no community in Anambra State without a tangible project initiated by Governor Soludo. His re-election will ensure the completion of these initiatives, which is why we unanimously adopted him as our preferred candidate for the November 8 election,” Azike said.


Comrade Nnamdi Okeke, Director General of the Afamation Charity Foundation and Director of Strategy and Research for the Afamation Movement, further noted that Soludo’s governance aligns with the group’s vision of promoting good governance and societal welfare. “Our assessment of Governor Soludo’s performance convinced us to endorse his second term, transcending our diverse political affiliations,” Okeke stated.


The Afamation Movement has gained recognition for its humanitarian efforts, including the recent construction of nine ultramodern houses for widows across the nine villages of Ekwulobia. Guided by its motto of leaving society better than it met it, the group continues to advocate for progress and development in Anambra State.
