Anambra State Police Commissioner Joins Interfaith Prayer for Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary

On September 28, 2025, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, joined other state service commanders, clergy, and citizens in a solemn interfaith prayer session at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral, Awka. The gathering was held to pray for national unity, peace, and progress as Nigeria approaches its 65th Independence Anniversary.


The event, attended by leaders from various sectors, underscored the commitment of Anambra State’s security agencies to fostering stability and promoting patriotism. CP Orutugu, alongside other service commanders, reaffirmed their dedication to safeguarding the state and supporting Nigeria’s journey toward greater unity and development.


SP Tochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer for the Anambra State Police Command, highlighted the significance of the occasion, noting that it reflects the collaborative efforts of security forces and the community to ensure peace and progress in Anambra State and beyond.
