Breaking News: Anambra Police Nab Wanted Armed Robbery Suspect, Recover Firearm

On September 20, 2025, operatives of the Anambra State Police Command’s Rapid Response Squad, Awkuzu, arrested a notorious armed robbery suspect, Kingsley Eze, aged 34, in Abagana. The suspect, who had been on the police wanted list for his alleged involvement in multiple armed robbery cases, was apprehended at midday following credible intelligence.


During the operation, law enforcement recovered a Magnum Pump Action gun and twelve live cartridges in the suspect’s possession. According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Anambra State Police Command, Eze is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation. The suspect will face charges in court upon the conclusion of ongoing investigations.


The arrest marks a significant step in the command’s efforts to curb criminal activities in the state. The Anambra State Police Command reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of residents and urges the public to continue providing actionable intelligence to aid in maintaining law and order.
