Enugwu-Agidi: President General Onuorah Makes Triumphant Entry At New Yam Festival



Hon. Chukwuebuka Onuorah (Ijele Umunri), President General of Enugwu-Agidi, emphasized the community’s unity and peace during the recent New Yam Festival held at the palace of the traditional ruler, Igwe Michael Okekeuche.


Leading the Enugwu-Agidi Town Union Central Executive Committee, Hon. Onuorah fulfilled all customary duties required of his office.


He was cheered by Enugwu-Agidi residents at the event, who were delighted to see him make a triumphant entry into the palace.


Speaking to journalists at the occasion, the President General, popularly known as the Digital PG extolled the age-long new yam festival


“Our Enugwu Agidi New Yam Festival is a cherished tradition, and the town union was honored to participate,” Hon. Onuorah said.


“Enugwu Agidi is a great community with love for her culture and traditions. I am grateful for the success of this year’s festival and anticipate an even greater celebration next year.”


The event reaffirmed Enugwu-Agidi’s commitment to its rich cultural heritage and communal harmony.

Ambassador Chukwuebuka David Onuorah, has urged all sons and daughters of the town living in cities and overseas to return home this Christmas. Speaking yesterday, Tuesday November 18, at his Country Home in Enugwu-Agidi, Onuorah said the community is now very safe because of the strong security system put in place.
