Bishop Ezeokafor administers sacrament of confirmation on students of St. Micheal’s Model School Nimo

The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor has administered the sacrament of confirmation on not less than 217 eligible students of ST. Micheal’s Model Comprehensive Secondary School Nimo, Njikoka LGA.


The event also featured the blessing and inauguration of English and Chemistry laboratories as well as presentation of prize awards to outstanding students in various spheres also featuring the induction of the newly graduated students into its Old Boys Association.


In a homily, Bishop Ezeokafor enjoined all the faithful to always call to mind that we are all sinners and as such shouldn’t present ourselves as men and women who are righteous.


“Nobody is completely good before God. We have our limitations but God expects us to do the right thing for us to be rewarded awesomely, God listens to the poor, defenseless and those who are miserable.”


His Lordship advised them against judging and condemning people as well as to avoid making themselves marketable while urging the students who were adorned with the sacrament of confirmation to always leave the faith.


“Let us always examine our conscience and pray at all times by so doing, we would have secured a laudable life worthy of emulation.”


Ezeokafor noted the improvement in various sectors of the school and commended the school Manager and those collaborating to make sure that the institution continued to grow and flourish.


His Lordship praised the past Managers of the school and encouraged the present administration to continue to consolidate the laudable leadership and already established.


The Bishop equally urged parents and teachers not to relent on instilling a formidable and effective foundation in the lives of the students so as to achieve a nurtured body and soul.


He advised the newly graduated students to continue to prove themselves worthy of emulation and stand out as the ambassadors of their alma mater at all times.


The School Principal/Manager, Rev. Fr. Dennis Nwabueze thanked the Bishop for gracing the event and applauded him for his unflinching support for the growth and development of the institution.


“We are happy that you are here today to have not just a spiritual touch but also a physical touch with us.We appreciate you for all that you have been doing for us, your constant advice, encouragement and especially financial support.”


Fr. Nwabueze commended the parents, teachers and guardians for their sacrifices towards the growth of the school.


“Today we celebrate not just the achievements of our prize winners but the spirit of hard work, perseverance and excellence that shines in every student here.This day reminds us that success is built on dedication, effort and willingness to grow.”

Ambassador Chukwuebuka David Onuorah, has urged all sons and daughters of the town living in cities and overseas to return home this Christmas.
