Ekwusigo Local Government Area put a finality to the Soludo/Ibezim return

Ekwusigo Local Government Area came out en masse yesterday, October 29, to affirm the re-election of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo and his deputy at the Local Government Secretariat Field.



It was a carnival of sorts as various stakeholders took turns to reiterate their resolve to ensure APGA, the ruling party in Anambra State, wins decisively in the November 8, 2025 polls.


Governor Soludo thanked Ekwusigo electorate for their immense support and votes in the last bye-election, which saw the emergence of an APGA Senator in Anambra South for the first time in history.


He restated his commitment to ensure his performance in the second term surpasses his first tenure. 


In his words, "You ain't seen nothing yet. Vote us in and you will see that the transformational developments of these first three and a half years are just a preamble."


The Majority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Uche Okafor, highlighted the myriads of developmental strides of Professor Soludo's administration. 


He moved a motion affirming that, in light of the achievements of the administration, Soludo will be returned on November 8, 2025, which the crowd affirmed with a united 'Aye.'


Chief Dr. Ebuka Onunkwo, chairman of the Ekwusigo LG Council Campaign for Soludo/Ibezim re-election, stated that his team had already carried out extensive house-to-house voter persuasion, aided by the countless impactful developments in the area.


"This rally was just to fulfill all righteousness as our people are already set to go to the polls and vote APGA overwhelmingly," he said.


He called on associations such as the Keke People, Okada People, Ozubulu People, and others, who collectively donated over 300 million naira to the campaign.


Hon. Chinedu Ejike, the member representing Nnewi South and Ekwusigo at the Federal House of Representatives under the YPP, confirmed that his party has endorsed Soludo, arguing that the opposing candidate from his party lacks the locus standi to contest, coming from Anambra North.



Among the support groups in attendance were Ezinwanneamaka Physically Challenged Association, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Ekwusigo chapter

Solution Ladies of Nigeria, Ekwusigo chapter, Unique United Friends and Women Initiative for Greater Anambra State, Ekwusigo chapter.


The event showcased strong grassroots support and unity behind the Soludo/Ibezim ticket ahead of the November 2025 elections.
