Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Oyi Local Government Area have unanimously endorsed Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and his Deputy, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim, for a second term in office.

The endorsement took place at Nteje, the Oyi Local Government headquarters, during the governor’s campaign rally, which drew a large crowd of supporters and community leaders.

Speaking at the event, the Capacity Mayor of Oyi, Hon. Emma Nweke (IGA), praised Governor Soludo’s transformative and people-focused leadership, pledging that Oyi would deliver all 15 wards to ensure continuity of the APGA-led administration. He urged residents to turn out en masse on November 8 to reaffirm their confidence in the Solution Government.

Also, Hon Innocent Ojike - Ojicam, member representing Oyi Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, echoed the endorsement, declaring that Oyi has “spoken with one voice” in support of the governor’s re-election, citing his strides in infrastructure, education, and youth development.

Dr. Amaechi Nwachukwu, the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Preston Specialist Hospital and Orthopedic Centre, commended Soludo’s visionary leadership and revealed that it inspired his return to APGA. He pledged his commitment to mobilize strong support for the party’s victory at the polls.

In their separate speeches, the Commissioner for Transport, Mrs. Patricia Igwebike, and Chief Mike Nwakalor (Omeluorah Oyi) hailed the governor’s inclusive and purposeful leadership, describing him as a reform-driven leader poised to sustain Anambra’s progress.

In response, Governor Soludo thanked the people of Oyi for their steadfast loyalty, describing the area as his political stronghold since 2021. He called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure a free, fair, and transparent election where every vote counts.

The event climaxed with a donation of ₦80 million from Oyi stakeholders — ₦50 million from Oyi APGA leaders, ₦20 million personally from Hon. Ojike, and ₦10 million from the Ogbo Rod Market Association to boost the governor’s re-election campaign.

The rally was well attended by notable dignitaries including the wife of the Mayor, Lolo Obiamaka Nweke, Oyi LG Council of Traditional Rulers, President Generals, stakeholders, community leaders, women and youth groups and Oyi local government officials amongst others.
