The young boy was allegedly abducted in Imo State but was found at Ideani Junction in Anambra State.  According to the boy, on 9th August 2025, at about 3.00 p.m., while on his way to fetch grass for goats, four young men in a Hilux vehicle stopped him. They initially asked him for directions to a certain place in his area. However, unknown to him, they allegedly abducted him and took him to an undisclosed location. ANAMBRA POLICE ARRESTS SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBER AND MEMBER OF A SEPARATIST GROUP: RECOVERS SNATCHED VEHICLE IN AWKA

  Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command, attached to the Special Anti-Cultism Squad, Enugwu-Ukwu, in the early hours of today, 10th August 2025, in a coordinated intelligence-led operation, arrested one Charles Chinonso, 32 years old, a suspected armed robber and member of a separatist group, and recovered a vehicle earlier reported stolen in Imo State. The recovery took place at Umuazu Village, Nise, in Awka South Local Government Area. The arrest followed a complaint by the victim, who reported that the vehicle was snatched at the World Bank Housing Area, Owerri West Local Government Area, Imo State. Acting on credible technological intelligence, Police operatives traced the vehicle to its location and effected the arrest.   Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, represented by Dr Mrs Nonye Soludo, wife of Anambra State Governor, has presented 500 Anambra women with a business recapitalization grant of N50,000 each to support their existing small businesses. The empowerment programme, which was a partnership between the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) and the Tony Elumelu Foundation, is economic sustainability package for local businesses and households who depend naturally on such businesses to make better livelihood. The recapitalization grant, a total sum of twenty-five million naira, was handed out to five hundred pre-selected petty traders, including people with special needs, who were carefully selected from across all the communities in Anambra State.
