Umudioka APGA Stakeholders Roll Out Support for Soludo, Ibezim Ahead of 2025 Election

  By Ukpa Ewa  Stakeholders of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Umudioka Ward Three, Awka South Local Government Area, have declared massive support for the re-election of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and his Deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, ahead of the November 8, 2025, governorship election in Anambra State. The declaration was made during an endorsement rally and inauguration of the ward polling unit campaign council held at Umudioka Town Hall. In his address, Deputy Governor Dr. Ibezim expressed gratitude to the people and leaders of the ward for their solidarity. Receiving the leadership of the National Union of Anambra State Students (NUASS) in his office in Awka, Mr. Udechukwu said that the Gov. Soludo's administration is of the people, by the people, and for the people hence its deliberate investments in education, skills acquisition, and youth empowerment. According to the commissioner, Prof. Soludo has already introduced free education from kindergarten to senior secondary school across the state, while plans are underway for a bursary scheme for university students of Anambra origin. In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Command described the claims as "false, misleading, and unfounded," attributing them to the imagination of the report's author, Mr. Salaudeen Hashim. The Command clarified that while Anambra has experienced some security incidents, these were not politically motivated or targeted at specific individuals, tribes, or social groups. Instead, they were perpetrated by criminal elements posing as agitators and other non-state actors. Anambra Police Rescue Kidnapped Victim Within Seven Hours, Launch Manhunt for Suspects

The operation, conducted by the Command’s Tactical Team, took place at the Oba/Ojoto axis, following the victim's abduction by armed criminals in Umuru Village, Nnobi. According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Police Public Relations Officer, the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of ₦10,000,000. However, swift action by the Joint Command Tactical Team, guided by intelligence, led to an aggressive operation in the area. Under pressure from the advancing operatives, the kidnappers abandoned the victim and fled into nearby bushes. The victim was rescued unharmed, debriefed, and safely reunited with his family. By O’star Eze In a well-deserved move, Mr. Obini Onuchukwu, the former Acting Registrar of Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, has clinched the position of Substantive Registrar at Federal Polytechnic, Ohodo, Enugu State.  Onuchukwu, a seasoned administrator, previously held the fort as Acting Registrar at Oko, bringing his wealth of experience to the table.  For a decade, he served as the Deputy Registrar in charge of Public Relations and Protocol at the same institution, where his knack for effective communication and strategic leadership shone brightly. Before diving into the academic world, Onuchukwu cut his teeth as a journalist with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).  His dynamic leadership earned him the role of Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra Council, a testament to his pragmatic and impactful approach.
