NPC, Kukah Center Launch Early Warning System for Anambra Election

By Ukpa Ewa With barely six weeks to the Anambra State governorship election, the National Peace Committee (NPC) through the Kukah Center has inaugurated the Early Warning–Early Response (EWER) System to bring together stakeholders to promote peace and credibility before, during and after the election. The inauguration, which drew participants from across the 21 local government areas in the state to Awka witnessed Journalists, Security agencies, political parties, religious and community leaders all committing to work as one to prevent electoral violence. Delivering her address, the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Kukah Center Obafemi Deborah said the project was about building trust and transforming early warning signals into meaningful actions. She explained that over three days, stakeholders were trained to spot and report threats before they escalated.
