The operation, conducted by the Command’s Tactical Team, took place at the Oba/Ojoto axis, following the victim's abduction by armed criminals in Umuru Village, Nnobi. According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Police Public Relations Officer, the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of ₦10,000,000. However, swift action by the Joint Command Tactical Team, guided by intelligence, led to an aggressive operation in the area.
