Soludo Urges Anambra Communities to Adopt Obosi’s Empowerment Model To Combat Poverty And Crime
By Ndife David, Obosi Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has called on communities across the state to replicate the Obosi One Household, Two Skills Empowerment Programme (OBISEP) as part of efforts to tackle poverty and crime through youth empowerment. Speaking through the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, at the graduation of 350 OBISEP beneficiaries held over the week in Obosi, Idemili North LGA, Soludo commended the community for aligning with his administration’s “One Youth, Two Skills” initiative. He described the project as a model of community-driven development that promotes his vision of a liveable and prosperous Anambra. Dr. Mefor stressed that eradicating poverty and insecurity requires joint efforts between government and communities.
