2 YEARS ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE PRESIDENT TINUBU'S ADMINISTRATION

Image
*WE HAVE MADE UNDENIABLE PROGRESS* By Dr. Okoye Francis Chidozie  The economic and general situation of the country inherited by President Tinubu on May 29th, 2023 required that we redirect the country's affairs with a bold and new vision. He immediately implemented two necessary policies to stop our country from further drifting into the precipice. It was apparent that if the federal government and the other two tiers of government must remain viable and cater to the citizens' welfare, we must do away with decades-long fuel subsidies and the corruption-ridden multiple foreign exchange windows. The two were no longer sustainable and have become a chokehold on our nation's neck, strangling our nation's future. While Tinubu's administration has implemented the reforms to restore and reinvigorate our national economy and strengthen our social fabric as a strong and united country, he thanks his fellow citizens for their unrelenting support and belief in the grand visi...

Lilu: A Town Under Siege – A Cry for Urgent Government Intervention

Image
Lilu, a once-vibrant community in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, has been reduced to a ghost town, its streets echoing with the silence of fear and desolation. Since 2020, unknown gunmen, hiding under the guise of secessionism, have unleashed a reign of terror on this border town, leaving a trail of death, destruction, and displacement. The traditional ruler, HRH Igwe Godson Onyediri, along with many notable residents, remains in exile, their homes and heritage reduced to ashes. Despite earlier claims of liberation by the state-backed Agunechemba Security outfit, the reality on the ground paints a grim picture: Lilu is still a town under siege. The scale of devastation is staggering. The palace of Igwe Onyediri, a symbol of cultural pride, lies in ruins, alongside his residence, security post, and Obi. The homes of prominent figures like Chief Chidi Nwanoneze, Chief Christian Awugosi, and High Chief Ifeanyi Ozodimbu have been looted or razed. Community infrastructure, i...
