Anambra Police Arrest Two Suspects for Diverting Cement Shipments Across Four States

  By O'star Eze  The Anambra State Police Command has apprehended two suspected fraudsters, Mr. Mmaduabuchi Udo and Mr. Abubakar Babangida, for their alleged involvement in the diversion and illegal conversion of cement shipments across Anambra, Edo, Rivers, and Delta States. The arrests were made on June 23, 2025, in Abuja by operatives of the CP Monitoring Unit following an intelligence-led investigation. According to a press statement by SP Tochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer, the suspects exploited social media platforms to profile cement dealers and extract sensitive operational information from unsuspecting victims. This data was allegedly used to orchestrate the diversion of cement consignments meant for legitimate businesses, causing significant economic losses.
